Player Valuation: £35m
Real Madrid have revealed they have had a £45 million bid for Tony Hibbert turned down.
The Spanish kingpins are keen on bolstering their defensive options in the remainder of the transfer window and identified the Toffees full-back as their top target.

According to sources in Spain, Hibbert would move to Madrid with Gareth Bale or Luka Modric offered in part exchange.

However, Everton rejected the offer outright, a move consistent with their stance all summer of not selling any of their prized assets.

Bill Kenwright has come out and said Tony is not for sale, at any price, and is an integral part of Everton's future. He didn't reveal exactly what that future was.
Toffee's boss Roberto Martinez has stated "In football, money cannot buy you everything.... Not even Tony Hibbert. He is a phenomenal talent and is integral to our plans on the field and to grow our Russian fan base."

Toffee fans groups have collectively issued a statement in response to this latest news coming out from the Bernabeu - "Take the money and run Bill"

Expect Everton fans to be singing " Where's the Hibbert money Bill?" in the near future

See, anyone can start a rumour

I have a mate in Germany with no link to anything football, who can reveal this is actually true because he has a Russian wife who knows all about it.
