Evening All! I have been reading GOT for a while now and have finally summoned the courage to post.

I have recently been reading and researching our finances over the past few weeks, this isn't an attack on the board, BK or our club, Just sharing what I have found.

I have been reading the company house reports and Everton's official end of year reports regarding our financial state.

What I have found is the expenditures from the two sets of documents don't match up and through research I have found we are actually running at a profit of between 6m and 20m over the past few seasons.

The official books fail to show this, but after much reading and comparisons between the documents and a few other resources it seems that the board have not been 100% honest with us the fans about our position.

Whilst I openly admit I'm not an accountant or expert in any respect in this matter, something strikes me as being somewhat fishy.

What's everyone's views on this, has anyone else dug deeper and can prove my findings incorrect, or can you share anything else I have overlooked? I would like to be proved wrong in some respects, but the idea of having no money is sickening!

Hear that? its the sound of a thousand wiki pages being turned over.

Welcome mate.

Cheers Bryan, reading it back it does sound like I'm a conspiracy theorist (who knows I might be now!) but I'm eager to learn a little more and the GOT community have a better idea of all things blue than other places :)

Just be careful mate, you'll see what i mean, i think EFC are coasting along nicely, others however don't.

Things like broadcasting rights, in 2009 the official books state we received 48m from broadcasting and other "rights", whilst other resources suggest that figure was almost 60m.

Also I have a friend who works with stocks and the reported share sales were incorrect on the official returns.

@deathbyropeandglass haha nothing jumped out like that but there were a number of "Exceptional items" included in the non-Everton FC books which appeared elsewhere....

I'm somewhere in the middle, it just leaves me bewildered for example how Norwich City can now outspend us on playing staff!

Maybe i'm just blinded by love for the club, abit like Bill - i've said for ages, there is a double edged sword having a mad blue as a Chairmenm rose tinted glasses. He doesn't know when to potentially step away.
