I still haven’t come back down to earth yet after yesterday.
(to be fair, it is a long way down from the 61st row of our new reidence
)
One thing that struck me yesterday morning was how visible Everton was in the city centre.
A constant stream of blue clad fans along Paradise Street and Hannover Street heading to Liverpool One bus stand to catch the 929.
And I was early, around 11.15.
I can only imagine the scene an hour later.
Then as the bus made its way along the Strand there were hundreds walking.
Walking back along Regent Road was like Wembley Way on Cup Final day.
What I liked best was stopping for a beer in that pub which used to be called the Jurgen Klopp.
Now an Everton pub
On into town and Evertonians were visible everywhere.
One of the by products of Hill Dickinson will be to make the club’s presence felt in those touristy areas around Pier Head and Albert Dock on match days.
Let people from other lands that there is more to football in Liverpool than the RS.
