...my own definition of World Class is that the player would get a game in any team on the planet. RayWilson, Alan Ball and Neville Southall ticked that box whilst I saw them at Everton.

There are others like Lineker and Kanchelskis who are worthy of discussion but only 3 definites in my view.

Can't argue with that mate. I'd possibly add sheeds in his pomp and maybe Baines at his best too.

It was reported last week sadly both Ray, Nobby Styles, and Martin peters all had the disease - Ray was a brilliant overlapping fullback for us years ahead of his time sad news from that 1966 World Cup squad!

....you're right, Joey, a wonderful footballer. Let's not forget he played in the 1962 World Cup and was widely recognised as the best LB in the world (with Karl Schnellinger) by 1966. Ironically Wilson's misplaced header lead to Haller scoring in the final but the rest is history as they say.
