from how it allegedly happened (sacked at half time of a reserve game) it sounds like a big row with someone more important than him, perhaps ancelotti, or the chairman, though one of their chewceefruanfru players is a much more likely culprit since they have form for getting people sacked.

certainly there was a bit in the guardian report that said unnamed senior players thought clarke was better as a coach (or more likely let them get away with more).
