Fellaini was close to his best today I love watching the big loon, hope the goals come back for him soon. Loved the Maradona turn he nearly pulled off around the 80 minute mark. He's one of our most skillful players shame his lack of mobility prohibits him from making the most of it.
.

Oh yeah, i'd forgotten all about that, truly was a thing of beauty.

i thought was hibbo was average yes i know at times he got his body in the way and hes not a CB but there were too mny times for me he got caught out or chose the wrong option and i thought neill was average as well and absolutley atrocious for their 2nd goal ...

coleman motm for me followed closely by saha then howard

Find it hard to criticise two players playing out of position against 2 International strikers.

Yes Hibbert was all at sea for the first goal, and Neill lost his man, and Hibbert gave away the penalty, but they are full backs, not centre backs. Important to realise that small fact.

Doesnt stop you having a go at Jo, who is not a target man, yet was playing a different role than hes trained to do.

i get the whole playin out of position gig but at the end of the day they are still 2 exp defenders and more than once were left wantin ....

the thread was on what we thought of the players yesterday i gav my twopence

Yeah it's cool mate. I'm giving you mine.

What did you think of Jo then?

i think as the main lone striker ...hes useless

i was genuinely surprised by a lot on here of thinkin he did all rite yesterday

my big gripe bout him is when a ball has benne played thru for him be it a good pass or a bad one he reacts far too late and the ball just comes str8 back at us

i know every player needs an extended run in any side to show themselves off but he just doesnt tick the boxes for me

Well that's it isn't it. We can all say we should support all our lads, and we do, I do. But in discussion I just don't think he is good enough, and like you say just doesn't tick any boxes.

When the ball was played through to him and it went under his foot, and he just doesn't seem to be able to read the game.

He needs to improve vastly to win over me and majority of the fans it seems.

Equal with whom?

Hibbert.

Think Hibbert was average for a centre back, but considering he was out of position, then that means he played well. If that makes any sense.

What he said :o :o, but imo Hibbert made a much better fist of it than Neill did.

Hibbert.

Didn't really notice to be fair. I was too busy watching Jo putting in some mileage. :)

Howard - 9 - He did take alot of pressure off the CBs and got on to corners and balls into the box before Crouch did. The pen save was trememdous.
Coleman - 9 - Was sublime but cannot be the POM because of this man....
Bale 10 - Single handed dragged us back into the game with his play in our attacking end. He would have been torched in League 1. My god this player was 10M?

Baines - 7
Hibbert - 7 - I thought he played well. The pen was pretty harsh considering all the physical play that was going on and Palacios had already headed the ball wide. He made a couple of superb tackles. Something I haven't in weeks from any of our CBs.

Neil - 2 - maybe "What the hell is Lucas Neil doing" should be a thread. At least VDM gave it a go when he got in.

Billy - 4 Kid if you can't get by Bale then you aren't going to cut it in this league.

Fellaini - 6 Played hard, would have rather had him than Jo up at CF. He would have ate Dawson for lunch.

Rodwell - 5 - Someone's got the get the Stevie G out of him. The city already has one player or skies it into row Z from 40 yards away.

Cahill - 5 - Either He or Fellani (or both) have to be up front.
Loses 2 point for convincing Moyes to get Neill.

Pienaar - 7 -

Jo - 3 - had 1 good shot on goal. We were a different team after he left. Is it not enough to ask to NOT TO HANG 20 YARDS AWAY FROM GOAL WHEN WE ARE ATTACKING
Saha - 9 If he was healthy we score 4.

Yakubu - 5 - I thought he helped hold the ball up (better than Jo) but didn't see much in his 30 min. Though he's the kind of player who looks bad when he doesn't score.

[QUOTE LAO

Agree with Jo offsides comment as well - my wife understands the offside rule better than him.[/QUOTE]

that's a classic:D:D
