Pickford, Keane, Sigurdsson, Klaassen. Most Evertonians would have been in rapture at those signings a year or two ago. Now they represent a bad window for some. Like it or not, our first priority is making it a 'Big 7', then close the gap. I'd have liked another CB and a striker, but better than we have isn't available (£26m for Sakho, WBA fight off City to keep Evans, Giroud prefers to warm a Champions League bench and Costa prefers to be on his jollies, yada, yada, yada ...). The window represents progress not a failure.

I agree with this! window has gone mental, we can't get everything we want as neither can the big 6 either.

All in all we have lost Lukaku and a load of players who didn't play. Barkley is an utter turd and has messed the club about in a way no other player ever has, I hope that does not have a knock on effect morale wise as he is seemingly a bad egg and needs casting off to the stands for the remainder of his contract.

We have brought some very professional and tidy players in, so lets hope it works.

Bolted out of the blocks but faded quickly. Glad we coasted to the line rather than panic buying a Valencia type...
Do you know, I wouldn't have minded having Valencia again.

Hard working, offers a bit of pace and a bit of aerial threat, could chip in with a few goals, would play wide or central. Not a world beater by any means and I hoped we'd get better than him, but with the squad as it is he might actually have been useful.

If the transfer happened in a different way it would have been regarded as excellent.
The addition of Pickford, Klaasen, Rooney, Keane, Sigurrdsson and others in the last week of the transfer window it would be hailed as outstanding.

We have to look at the business done, rather than the timing.
Not signing a striker was the major disappointment.

3/10
Should have got more for lukaku...
Squad is completely imbalanced...
We have a manager who likes to play 3 at the back but we have only 1 decent centre half. Jags is past it and Williams just hasn't done it. Our wing backs are poor until Coleman comes back, Baines is starting to not get forward enough.
We have no width anymore, we have about 10 midfielders who all want to play in the middle.
Do I assumed the formation will be 4 2 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1.
Plus side I think pickford Keane and sigurdsson were great signings and I like some of the other signings but they were not in positions we needed.
Not getting a focal point for our attacks is a huge mistake.
Let's not forget that if Barkley had signed for Chelsea we would barely of had a net spend.

Edit
I even read on OS that vlasic likes to at through the middle too

Stockpiles of attacking midfielders that we didn't really need in the first place, no senior strikers in the squad, not enough centre-backs to cover, not enough left back's to provide cover, and we've still got awful crap like Niasse stinking the place out.

Rubbish all in all, despite bringing in a few decent players early on

Rated it a 7. Brought in some very good players in key area's, but let down by not bringing in a key striker. Had we brought in Giroud who was apparently our main target, I would have given it a 9. Cover for left CB and LB, plus off loading 2 or 3 of our excess baggage would have resulted in the perfect 10. But 7 is decent, no more.
