We didn't support him with that, and the lack of striker could be a season ruiner.

No excuse for not getting in a CF and another CB/LB.

But beside that, pretty good business.

Honestly, it's going to take a couple more windows. It's a bit unlucky that Funes Mori, McCarthy, and Barkley all picked up injuries on top of the Baines/Bolaisse injuries.

If you think about Lennon, Mirallas, those 3 above, Robles, etc., that's a lot of money on the books that we could very easily jettison. If we continue to spend net on top of that to the tune of 50M in the summer and 25M in the winter, we'll be in decent shape. Keep investing in some of the younger guys, too, as the market prices for folks can skyrocket even in a single season.

The business has to be run MUCH better to get reveunes at the type of level needed to be more competitive - HOWEVER, we blew a HUGE chance to energize the fanbase and make a run at the top 4/6 by not getting a true CF and a backup/starter at LB/CB.
