McBain

Player Valuation: £80m
Brilliant, brilliant movie.

It's an homage to modern cinema; there are so many scenes taken from other films. I'd have to watch it again to go through them all. Even his name is lifted from 'The Usual Suspects".

But if it's still on at the movies, it's definitely worth checking out.

Depp is his usual zany, fantastic self.
The imagery is stunning, its made like a real film.
Things DIE. Is that unusual for a CGI film? I thought it was.
The script : FANTASTIQUE!

It's got everything you've ever seen before, reheated perfectly in Animal form.

5 Stars.

It was brilliant. It's much, much more than your usual animated kids film. It was funny and even had some really weird and slightly creepy parts.

5 Stars from me.

Really? I just rewatched 'The Usual Suspects' about a week ago, and don't recall hearing 'Rango' anywhere. Where is that word/name used in the film?

Just curious...

Erm...Cars 2 should be on your upcoming list.

The mrs and her mate went to see Rango. She hated it. But she has appalling taste. Therefore its probably ace.

The scene in the bar where he takes his name off the sign 'Durango' is straight out of 'Suspects' where Verbal takes names off the board, and 'Kobayashi' off the cup.

Off the top of my head theres also the bit from 'Chinatown' - drowned man in the desert.
The man with No Name 'Spirit of the West'
'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'
The shifting sand footsteps from 'the good the bad and the ugly'
Rango walks into the bar like 'John Wayne' in the Searchers
Theres absolutely loads of images and references to other films and the music is a who's who of western tunes.

Ill watch it again and go through them.

There were 5 slots available. It would be number 6.

Why would anyone go to see an animated film and hate it? If you don't like Rango - You don't like Johnny Depp, and you don't like Cinema full stop.

Tintin is coming to the big screen???? Are they gonna keep all the old school prejudices???? Other than those (a part of the times) I love those Tintin stories.
