Wasn’t he next door neighbour to one of the Celtic players? It always made me smile that.

Yeah that's right he lived next door to Alan Thompson.Ricksen was bit of a hell raiser. There was that infamous night he was drunk out of his head, throwing fireworks into Alan Thompsons back garden, and shouting obscenities down his letter box!He was no angel as a player. But what happened to him is still sad.

I had forgotten about that!

Really sad to see anyone like that now.

Agree...c'mon Aberdeen!

Well yes anyone would do at this stage. That's how bad things are! It's easy enough to support Rangers when they couldn't stop winning, with Walter Smith. The last 5 years certainly have been challenging, and things could get way worse before they get better. So i yeah i suppose i was a glory hunter, back in my youth, when i hopped on the Rangers bandwagon. But sure i'll tough it out with them now in the wilderness years.

I suppose in a thread about Rangers, it would be remiss of us if the battle of Britain, isn't bought up to the table for discussion.Rangers and Leeds, two clubs that a lot of people here, would have little time for!But can you see the champions of Scotland beating the champions of England again anytime soon?I know yeah me neither.

Look on the bright side Rangers are now on the same unbeaten run as the Hoops.

It will be an interesting one with Swansea sacking their manager today, do they continue with another manager who plays expansive football or do they go with a safe pair of hands in the likes of Pullis who is more likely to keep them up. I still think regarding Rangers, Pullis was only using them to chirp up and let other clubs know he was still available.

There's no way Pulis is going to Rangers, they can barely afford Murty.

Im not sure Pulis is the right fit for Rangers anyway.I'd say Murty will be in the job until the end of the season now.Anyway happy christmas to both yourself and @larbert toffee .I have come to admire LT's sneery and sarcastic put downs about Rangers, these past few months.lol Im sure there will be plenty of time in the new year to wind each other up though.

Unfortunately i have a suspicion that Rangers will continue to provide laughter and mirt, to the rest of Scotland and beyond in 2018.But such is life for Rangers supporters these past 5 years. But i guess i can always binge watch some videos on youtube, from back in the days Rangers were boss.Don't be sad it's over as they say.Be glad that it happened in the first place.
