Random boss Everton memories

What a great question! Problem is where to start...

1966 after the cup win. I was 10 yrs old. Dressed head to toe (as was the car..) in blue. Waiting opposite the Jolly Miller on Queens Drive for the team bus to pass by.

Charity Shield in the same year. We lost to a good Roger Hunt goal but the real memory was before the game - Wilson and Hunt parading the World Cup, followed by Yeats with the League Champions trophy and Labby with the Cup

1967 and Bally's winner against Liverpool - 68,000 in the ground that night - and I was one of them. Crikey, what a night to be a blue.

1968 - Old Trafford and Johnny Morrisey's finest hour. And Wembley a few weeks later - OK we lost but that was my first trip to London. Up at the crack of dawn and down to Warrington Bank Quay for the red eye to The Smoke.

1970 vs WBA. 2-0 to Everton and we're crowned champions - Harvey scored a blinder that night - I was in the GSE.

Goodison vs Bayern at THAT game. Plus Rotterdam of course. Villa Park for various semi finals. The best semi was probably 1984 at Highbury - when Heath scored the place went absolutely crazy. 14 years of frustration came pouring out..what a day.

That's why I don't want to say goodbye to Goodison - it's got too many memories.

*Hides under desk again and screams "not another stadium debate.....!!!"*

Andy King's goal in October 78

Milk cup semi against Villa, Kevin Richardson (cast on his arm) cracked in the second and I knew we were going to Wembley coz I was sure they wouldn't get 2 goals in the second leg.

Inchy's goal at highbury. seemed to take forever to go in and then everything just exploded.

Villa park the year after. Sheedy placed the ball for the free kick and I noticed a rainbow over the stand behind the goal* I knew he'd equalise

*Seriously, can anyone who was there confirm this memory or, if not, can anyone recommend a good psychiatrist. I swear I remember it, But I've lost a lot of faith in my memory in the last few years.

95. Best mate was a Man U fan. Went to his for the cup final, sat up in his room. When Rideout scored I hit the roof briefly, before recommencing my gentlemanly behavior as after all, it was my best mate's team we were beating! :D
