Well, no.
The point is to not judge him so conclusively after 11 games.
The irony is Williams concludes with Benitez needs time but Evertonians are spoilt brats who won't give him it.
There is no plan to the club tbf, he's bang on right. It's just 'get to the stadium'.
I don't rate Benitez as a manager. I think he's well past it. His subs are crap, the way he attacks is predictable and he's not even had the defensive organisation there. His tactics in the last few games have been atrocious.
I do think he is the disciplinarian and type of in-detail coach that Everton need, I just think his fundamental approach to the game is stuck in 2009 and nothing he's done for most of the last decade makes me think differently. I think his appointment sums up how badly the club is run, because he's seen as a 'safe pair of hands'.
I don't blame him for things that aren't on him. Injuries - good to see he's trying to fix this - previous recruitment, crap players etc. But he will now have full remit over every penny we spend, and he did in the summer - whether that's £1.7m or £170m. He's in control.
He may turn out good for us, I don't think he will but I'd love to be wrong.
