Ultimately you are taking a risk. It may be an educated risk based on your faith in your daughter but don't pretend it isn't a risk. You are wagering that the odds of her having health problems are less than the risk of the jab. Since the jab risk is somewhere around <0.01% I'd wonder how you handicapped the other side of the wager.

Anyway we can go around in circles all day. What's done is done. Maybe if you trust your daughter then let her do her own research, talk to some doctors (different ones ... second opinion and all) and make her own (educated) decision (without any implied "if you get this jab it means you're planning on being super promiscuous" pressure). Good luck either way mate and COYB

thanks mate. the `insurance policy` you mention - well the jab can be given to females up to 24yrs of age so if anyones daughter decides they want the jab they can when they no longer need parental consent. i wouldnt take advice on matters of this importance from ANYONE but trusted and educated family or friends. you obviously care njligernj so thanks for your posts.

Why? I put a lot of effort into my responses and you waded in with an emotive load of rubbish that addressed none of them. Although to be fair that's what most people in this thread have done. Suppose it takes less effort to wade out trite garbage like Tories hate the working classses, Labour are great, chinless [Poor language removed] and so on.

For the record it did happen and was at King's College Hospital.

My response RE the Tories was due to life experience and I stand by it

Yours was a pretty cheap put down on Health and Safety trying to discredit my profession rather than responding to my original comments about the Tories

Lord young didnt last long by the way !!!

I think I see the problem here, nev. You and Bruce are poles apart: he's committed to a philosophy of no regulation of anything in the economy; your job is a classic case of regulation of it if it involves danger to health.

Never the twain shall meet.

So when something happens that supports your belief it's valid, but when something happens that doesn't then it isn't valid? Nice approach to life. I couldn't care less about Lord Young, it wasn't him that told my girl not to heat up milk for a patient.

I will never agree with you so let just leave it at that
