I was in the audience of BBCQT for the special they did after the London riots last summer and got to speak to David Dimbleby - he was very frank as I asked him why there were no front-bench spokesmen/women on the panel - he said very clearly that front bench politicians are very reluctant to appear on any programme where un-scripted questions and answers are expected. Effectively the media management of all political parties have contributed to the downfall of once great programming.

Louise Mensch will lose her seat in 2015 and good riddance. Silly little self-publicising, politically lightweight Thatcher wannabe. Utterly abhorrent woman, I'm not even going to lower myself to making a misogynistic remark about her.

PIL were better than the Pistols, truefax. "Metal Box" is an absolute masterpeice. Lydon's a bit of a clart, mind. Don't really have a problem with him hawking butter, the Pistols were put together to hawk clothes so it's nothing new for him. He's just a bit of a reactionary old fart, that's all.

QT is a bit **** these days though, isn't it? None of the audience members seem to have the brains to ask anything really pertinent or likely to make the panel members squirm. They seem to be overwhelmingly Conservative these days, too.
