mediocre hoofball tactics from moyes,a defence that was tight last season leaking goals, and a striker that makes beattie look prolific, guess it's going to be a struggle to finish in the top ten then:mellow:

I'm sorry, but we passed the ball around nicely yesterday. Don't be sucked in by Rafael's rants, unless of course your his biggest fan?

Five defeats makes my glass half empty, but It's far from doom and gloom, especially when you consider how unlucky we were to lose against United and Liverpool (the Newcastle defeat could have been a different story, too).

Let's get everyone back and then, as always, we'll see where we are come Xmas. A few wins between now and then, hopefully courtesy of a few confidence boosting clean sheets, and things will look much brighter. I'd be most happy if Santa could bring us a really dominant midfielder, though, as I think we're lacking in the middle (Jagielka looked better yesterday, but still needs to do more, and I can only assume Carsley's legs must be gone, given Moyes' refusal to play him anymore).

I was surprised at Carsley's ommission considering he's been in several derbies and knows all about what it takes to play in one.

As for the league:

1) We've generally played poorly.
2) Cahill, Gravesen, and Vaughan have been out.
3) Yakubu hasn't hit his stride yet.
4) We've had some very unlucky decisions against us.

That said, I think things will get better from here.

I was surprised at first but as we settled into it his replacement more then made up for the lack of Carsley. I hope that Jagielka can perform to that standard more consistantly he didn't give an inch and flew into tackles.

More of the same please Mr Jagielka.
