Made up England lost. Southgate is a crap manager and they won’t win anything with him in charge, despite having a very good squad.

I doubt the FA would consider it as they're a pretty risk averse organisation. Keeping Southgate isn't a terrible thing (he's done very well) but as you said there's a lot of potential there which an elite level manager could take to the next level.

Unfortunately, it seems to be, that to be the manager of England, being a " yes " man and towing the line, are more important than having coaching ability.

The most obvious candidate right now, would be Pochetino, who despite what some of the crazies on here say, isn`t going to be the next manager of Everton.

The damning issue IS Southgate.
Plays Henderson from the start, and keeps Grealish (the other attacking midfielder as well as Saka who could scare the hell out of the French) on the bench until the 89th minute. One wonders what he sees that the rest of us don't...
