I'm sure their bid was impressive, but does FIFA want to give the worlds game ,which has been against intolerence, really want to give it to a country where Homosexuality is illegal? Hardly in the spirit of the game imo.
 

95% of Qatar is a desert. There are 1.7 million people living there. What exactly is the purpose of holding the tournamnet in Qatar?

I wanted it to be Korea or Japan, but I knew it was still too close to 2002, so I was really rooting for an American win. It would have been amazing in the US. A proper festival for all.

It's nothing but a cash drive for Fifa. Qatar are not going to have a thriving football nation following this World Cup. It's in the desert for christ sake.

It's just embarassing that these have got it. I would have thought Australia would have been perfect.
 
When is a World Cup, not a World cup....it's like the X factor or something....Arrive by water Taxi...? People just wanna see a ball get kicked don't they? I have a feeling if I start saving now....I may just afford a group stage game.....it's not about me though I guess
