Should you pay more for your leccy to subsidise someone down the road 500m from a pylon?

The lecky board should pay this, there are potential health issues. However that should come from their shareholder profits, and not be an extra on others' bills. That would be complicated.

Perhaps the best answer would be a reduction in council tax, given by any council stupid enough to grant planning permission for the houses.

I think it's due to new pylons being erected near already occupied properties rather than councils granting planning permission for new houses to be constructed by existing pylons.
