We're actually very lucky that BM is the right end of Town for decent boozers.

The whole of Dale Street has an excellent choice of places to have a drink at. Ship and Mitre, Vernon, Rugby's/Mann, Hole in the Wall, the wonderful Denbeigh just up the side. Moorfields has The Railway which is a bit of a throwback.

Whenever I head home I don't venture far from that selection. Virtually no knobheads.

Wondering which boozer the away fans will go go to at the new stadium? The Bramley Moore will be ours so probably somewhere in town.

The Belverdere - cracking ale, wonderful selection of whiskies and one of the nicest places to sit outside in Liverpool when the weathers nice.

Just up the road, the Caledonia - another one with cracking ale, possibly one of the cheapest pubs in Liverpool and a wonderfully eclectic clientele.

Around the corner, the Casa - another with a mad mix of customers and a city centre community boozer.

Down the road - The Roscoe Head - it`s been in every edition of the Good Beer guide, what more is to be said.

Around the corner - The Dispensary - cracking ale, full of character and gets busy on match days ( not sure if he crazy owner is still there ? )

A bit of walk, down towards the Docks - The Baltic Fleet, another wonderful old boozer, with a big selection of ales and world beers ( card only )

Yes the Belvedere is great shout too. I like the walk up the road from Peter Kavanagh’s.
I forgot the name of the road but you’ve got The Belvedere, the Caledonia and the Cambridge all in close proximity. I always think you get a great cross section of cosmopolitan Liverpool society on that stretch. In Peter Kav’s you can be drinking next to some south end characters by the time you’re in Caledonia and the Cambridge you’re rubbing shoulders with the great minds of the future. 😂

The Globe I love. Classic scouse boozer that. Had a great chat at 9.00am with the 2 ladies running the place. It wasn’t open but they served us. We had some real Liverpool pub gold off them 2 😄
 
The Lion Tavern on Tithebarn St, (Corner of Moorfields) is a stunning looking boozer with the little glass dome in the middle as well.

They used to do a cracking pork pie in there as well, not been in for ages though, so not sure if they still do.

Do you know what that’s exactly what I thought the minute they started building it. Walking distance from Dale street! 😄
 

I’ve been there once but I think I was half cut as I don’t remember it looking quite as beautiful as that. Another architectural gem. This would be a tourist attraction in any other city! 😄
 
The Philharmonic for the bogs, the beer, when I've been in, has been crap.
The Roscoe Head always keep their beers in tip top condition.
The Vernon Arms always had a good selection of ales, with the added bonus of a lack of mouthy teenagers.
