If the club had ambitions/plans of us being a top 6 side in 5 seasons time they would have aimed for higher imo.

I was of the thought originally that 52k with the choice to expand to 62k was the logical way to go, thinking about it now, 55k with the option to expand to 62k would have been the way to go.

52k beats 39k beats a concept that is never delivered, however high the capacity.

If this fails, we can forget about relocating for a generation and more.

I don't trust the club, but we hardly have an option here whatever they offer.

But it must have a wow factor otherwise this is all a massive con-job.

What's the point of having a 60, 70, or even 100,000 capacity stadium if we don't fill it. I would rather have a full to the brim 52k stadium with great atmosphere than a three quarter full one where the atmosphere will just not come across very well.

The key element for me is the ability to expand if it’s required and that’s driven by what’s happening on the pitch. If we are bursting at every home match and it’s straight forward to do so at least there is scope to really up the capacity.

With the possibility of safe standing areas then capacity would be nearer 60k anyway

I personally agree although I don’t think we couldn’t fill 60k, let’s fill 52k every week first.

What you are all forgetting is the hospitality/executive options. That's where a lot of extra revenue can be made from a new stadium, because Goodisons' is sorely lacking.

55k was the minimum so I wouldn't moan. 58k was the point it would make me feel warm inside. 61878 for the money shot.

If we can only afford 52k so be it, but I feel I'm allowed to have a good old whinge about it.
