It looks workable enough. There will clearly be a desire to get people into stadiums. At present we are at a very early stage of these discussions and I imagine it will take some time to agree that. Bear in mind their may be legal angles on this. Employees can still sue clubs if it's made unsafe.

However we will see fans back on a phased basis. I am not sure we have 100% back in until really the end of the season, but maybe some phased return.

We will also have to factor in the impact of potential 2nd spike. If that happens, all bets are off. America look like they are heading straight into a 2nd spike now.

According to this fella they are still in the 1st wave, but the story is region locked so no idea if the headline matches what he says!

I don't see them allowing fans in this season at all, not even a phased return, but it will no doubt be discussed for next season.

Sorry yes I agree, no fans this season, and starting to phase back. The numbers will need to go down though.

I wouldn’t take reddit as a source on anything. I enjoy it, but they’re hardcore communists on there, not exactly reliable people on any subject.

Can someone please explain why players are keeping 2m apart on the bench, coaching staff are in masks etc, yet players are jumping all over each other when someone scores? Baffling.

Because, in keeping with nearly everything else in England during this pandemic, its all surface level precaution whilst in all actuality being just a farce.

I shouldn't really have to explain this but the government has done such a piss poor job, so I will do it anyway. It is all about viral load. As humans, we all expel vapour from our upper respiratory tract. The best description is an aerosol effect. We spray vapour from our upper respiratory tract and it mixes with the air around us.

We then breath in that vapour. Our immune system is programmed to react and attack any virus. However, if you spend too much time breathing in vapour that is contaminated with COVID-19 then you end up with a viral overload. That is the whole point of a 2m exclusion zone.

You have to spend an extended period in proximity to an infected person to catch the virus. The exception is when people start coughing, when you cough you expel a huge amount of infected vapour. That is why we have flu seasons.

The sport is a joke in this format. None of the players don't want to be there and it shows, every single game has felt like a pre-season friendly. Incredible really, the games authorities where so determined to see the season finished and their favourites crowned champions that they sacrificed both the already dwindling integrity and credibility of the sport to do it all the while risking thousands upon thousands of lives in the process. Class as ever.

There has been a few first half goals (Spurs Man Ciy and Villa spring to mind) but a the large majority of the games have been very boring.

Yeah, i haven't watched a minute yet, but there's been 3 big games already and not much to discuss other than a fair few injuries.

Then again, i can't think of a single standout game this season, no real thrillers come to mind.

Lots of head scratching with those 5 subs last night. 1 in the first half. Half time change doesn't count as one of the 3 stoppages. 3 in the second half at different times.

"Minimise disruption" they say. Mental.
