I agree with this, but it's important we dont play on, not just because it will annoy them more, but mainly because it's too risky.

Yeah I do agree, but my main issue is what are we waiting for?

Its gotta restart at some point and I dont see a magic bullet coming any time soon.

Empty stadiums is not the footy we need, but its gonna have to do.

Sense suggests we null and void this season, but that solves nothing, theres too many issues involved in null and voiding, the easiest solution is to finish, I said easiest, its 100% not the sensible 1, but money will win this battle, not sense.

I tend to agree but I also know that if it was Everton at the top then it would, out of respect to the dead and the NHS, have been canned some weeks ago.

You have 2 problems.

Problem 1, null and void, legal fights from Championship clubs, Sky/BT overseas TV companies keep their money.
Problem 2, finish the season, a few 000 more people die, resources are taken that could be used to save lifes, everybody gets paid

Which solution do you think they will take?

No legal argument would stand against a force of nature ... it just couldn’t happen.

This isnt a force of nature, it was a bioweapon designed in a lab in China.

I mean it wasnt, but good luck proving that statement incorrect in a court of law.

But lets be honest, nobody really care if Leeds and West Brom sues them for a few million when theres billions in TV money and Sponsorship to hoover up.

No team would have a leg to stand on if they tried to sue the league ... it would also be disastrous PR for any one of them

Honestly who really cares if they give them the title, lets be honest they have won it anyway, dont ever recall a team running away with it as they have, fair play.

But we should, as bitter blues, take comfort from the fact that it will forever have an asterisk and they wont even get to see them pick it up at Anfield, not truly.

Im ok with that personally.

Give them it or dont, not arsed personally, its already tainted.
The "season" is meaningless anyways. There has been a larger break than most footballers have ever had in their professional careers right now. Who cares what they do.

I don't see how they could sue, 2 reasons, the cost, are they really going to risk spending millions on a case they can't win.
2nd it would take years, next season is what 5 or 6 months away, what they going to do, not play it while they sort this mess out in court, things like this arnt something you can get a quick legal fix on.
What ever the decision anyone makes, nothing is going to court.

Yes.

You would have thought a contingency plan would be in place for this sort of thing, I know it's an unlikely thing to predict, but it's easy to have a law like- if all games are not able to be completed by 'said date' final positions wil be decided by X'

BBC breakfast sport pushing the behind closed doors conclusion again...
Even mentioned the possibility of no relegation for the bottom teams - without comment of course.
Essentially turning what would ensue into 92 meaningless friendlies and one big fluffing session for the Rs.
They can’t help themselves, they’ve literally got nothing else to talk about. This might happen, that might happen, now let’s go live to some non-entity ex-footballer’s lounge for his thoughts. Why BBC haven’t furloughed their Sports reporters is a mystery.

BBC jobs for the boys basically - they should be sat at home drowning in their kopite tears.
