I am now 100% convinced that they will restart the league for long enough for Liverpool to 'secure' the title only to then backtrack and 'cancel' the season after two games and announce no relegation, places stay as they are, Liverpool officially champions.
And what if they lose them 2 games ?

Just when you thought these ideas couldn’t get anymore ridiculous (like the players wearing face masks one), SSN now reporting some loony in Western Australia wants the PL to finish there. The desperation knows no bounds.

I've thought this from day one of lockdown, they have to agree if we cant play all the games its void, all or none

It will probably only take one game. City lose and RS win the first game then it's done. Of course it will be a RS against us.

It will allow the Premier League to say "well, we tried with our best intentions to complete the season, but with new advice from the government we have now decided to end the season with immediate effect." No relegations, RS champions, somehow.

Honestly who really cares if they give them the title, lets be honest they have won it anyway, dont ever recall a team running away with it as they have, fair play.

But we should, as bitter blues, take comfort from the fact that it will forever have an asterisk and they wont even get to see them pick it up at Anfield, not truly.

Im ok with that personally.

Give them it or dont, not arsed personally, its already tainted.

I get that there’s a difference between playing behind closed doors at a neutral venue as has been proposed to finish this season and playing home and away from the start of a campaign so it’s fair across the board, but really behind closed doors is just rubbish isn’t it? Whether it’s home, away or neutral it’s just not right.

In a way I’d be happy for them to return to play one round of fixtures from this season as I’m certain everyone would realise how awful that was and be happy for football to be postponed until fans can be back in the ground. A whole season of no atmospheres and sky trying desperately to hype everything up would be terrible.

I guess the issue for the clubs is that people don’t realise how football clubs don’t actually turnover (well, profit) that much money when you factor in their outgoings, and without lucrative tv deals most of them will be in big trouble. How many missed seasons could they survive? Alas, the show must go on from their perspective.

I agree with this, but it's important we dont play on, not just because it will annoy them more, but mainly because it's too risky.

I tend to agree but I also know that if it was Everton at the top then it would, out of respect to the dead and the NHS, have been canned some weeks ago.
