Project restart discussion.

I’d like to see some on field protests if this happens. Players should just stand still as soon as the kick off is taken, and make a point of moving 2 meters away from an opponent every time they approach them. Let Big Red walk in 57 first half goals, see how your integrity of the competition stacks up then.

Talking of players - have the clubs/FA considered what they think of risking their life/long term health ?
I'm sure there's plenty who won't be happy being treated like fodder so SKY, BT and the premier league can cut their losses.
Even myself I'm dreading the eventual call back after furlough knowing just - impossible to implement social distancing stands between me and a deadly virus.

Liverpool would make Van Dijk play if he actually had the virus, I have absolutely no doubt about it. They’d keep silent about it.

UEFA will want their cups finished too and will apply more pressure to national leagues. They'll point to Germany (and any others restarting) as examples of what can be done. National and European competitions - I cant see one finishing without the other.

All European countries have had different experiences in this crisis - using one of the ones that 'appears' to have handled it well as a benchmark to others would be stupidity.

Drawing plans and implementing them are two very different things - so the gravy train basically has almost a calendar month to convince us all how much we need competitive(?) football back in our lives in however irrelevant and diluted form.
To quote 'Dune' - the spice must flow...….

The get out for the premier league.

'But EUFA's top officials will be sympathetic to any league that is unable to provide clarity by May 25th, due to ongoing government uncertainty over the coronavirus pandemic'

I personally can't even imagine getting any enjoyment from any of these plans. I thought I'd miss football but quite frankly I haven't at all. Maybe because of the situ of the league prior to this pandemic but honestly I think it's because there are far far bigger things going on in this country right now.

I find it utterly bizarre this daily push to get the leagues restarted on the backdrop of hundreds of people dying daily. It's pure an utter greed and money orientated. The broadcasters want us watching their channels, the sports writers want us reading their columns and the sponsors want their advertising.

Ultimately it's not being finished for fans is it (other than fans of league leaders) so it loses all appeal. It's all for admin and money purposes. Disgusting.

Looks as though French league could be cancelled as they are looking at extending the lockdown. Merkel is looking to slap some sense into the Bundesliga, and lots of noises from Serie A about how it would be better to cancel.

Yet one league in Europe defies all conventional common sense by doingwhatever it takes to grab cash for itself and it’s two most important clubs.

The cricket season has been delayed until July 1st at the earliest, Wimbledon which finishes in July has long since been cancelled, lots of other sport has been put back indefinitely, yet English football, with it's head stuck firmly in the sand, believes it'll be back up and running soon with this 'project restart' nonsense.

Unbelievable really.

With a big helping hand from our skewed media.

I have to be in the office 2 days out of 5 from June. I have to wear gloves and a mask and keep 2 metres distance from my co workers.

How on earth are you running football matches under such protocol?
Oh come on you've seen how pens can be given when there's been no contact. 2m should make little difference to the rs rules currently in play.
