Has anyone else noticed a vast increase of professional beggars in Liverpool recently? I work by Williamson Square and you can't walk 20 yards without someone who is obviously not homeless approaching with a sob story and asking for money, Dale Street is the same. It must be having an impact on the legitimate homeless who should be getting help off people.

Professional??? Like with training, CPPD, health benefits, that sort of thing?

So that is why there seems to be less in London, they obviously wish to test the notion that Northerners are more generous!

Don't know where you've been walking but I've never noticed it.
Get your hand in your pocket you minge bag.

I work in town and there is deffo two distinct sets of beggars, there are the ones who you see first thing in the morning a kip in doorways and there are the ones who suddenly turn up later in the day. Sad for the genuine homeless being tarnished by the, sometimes agressive blaggers.

Do you mean the ones that give you a story of how they’ve run out of petrol and just need a couple of quid to get home to their ill kids? Then you see them a few days later, and then again. And again.

Not seen those scumbags for a while now.

Caught one of these out a while back. Offered him the fully gerry can I had in the back of the car. Funnily enough he wasn't interested!:dance:

Only a thought, maybe the increase in beggars is directly linked to the fact that Liverpool City centre is booming.

Probably, you used to get minges like that every 10 metres in Manchester about 10 years ago. Now it’s all smacked out Spice addicts. Give it a few months and they’ll all be rolling around on their faces mumbling about the devil. Problem solved.
