I was our penalty taker too (from right mid). Had a 100% record. I could point better than Neville as well.

the way he smacked that one in today .. my memory may not be the best but I can't remember a Baines penalty over the last couple of seasons or so that didn't look like it was going in / goalie anywhere near it. Baines everytime for me

He did, scored the free-kick then missed the first pen. What a day that was, shame we got beat by Reading in the next round!!!

I swear I can remember Jelavic taking a pen when Baines was on the pitch.

Which is why I was wondering. Is it more of a heat of the moment thing rather than a case of us actually having one go-to guy?

As long as we're slotting them of course it doesn't matter. And both Baines and Jelavic seem to take good penalties.
