Press speculation: Moyes to Newcastle

Moyes has got kids in school in Liverpool hasn't he?

And has said he won't leave until he's won something. He's spent years building a squad here.

He'd turn down Scotland, Rangers and Celtic tomorrow IMO so why would he go to Newcastle.

The only time I'm gonna be worried is when Fergie retires. I've always thought he fancies the United job.

No way would Moyes leave us to go there, for example he had no interest in the Scot job so why Toons??

As for Toons I could not give a F****** S*** who takes over there.

Jol for Newcastle IMHO, or maybe redknapp if given enough cash.

Agreed Leonbil.

Jol would be my first pick for Newcastle. I think he could do something there.

Of course I thought the same thing about Sam and look at how that turned out.

my concern about all of this, is when everton said the same thing about big dunc...royale said he was staying at the start of the match, and at the end of it he was a newcastle player.

Moyes has given the impression from time to time though that when things went tits up he was unhappy and i recount near the start of the season, when things where not going that well..there was a hint that he might walk away. Newcastle might wait it out though and not bring anyone in, everton could end up with a list of loosing matches again, and moyes walks...what a horrible thought if that happened :(

I would hope he does stay with us, after all the loyalty the board have shown to him over the 5 years he has been with us. Really I dontthink there is that much to worry about, he is on his second 5 year plan with us, and has taken us a long way, and he wants to win things, and we are the best choice to do just that, considering we are the best to get into that top 4...when newcastle where under keegan things back then where different...now its almost but not quite impossible to even get into the top 4...and i reckon we'll make 4th spot this year for CL next year, as long as we bring in more players.

He wont leave to a small club like Newcastle.

I [Poor language removed] hate them bastards, they will never and they arent a big club, just because they bring in 52,000 a week and swing scarfs round their heads doesnt mean there a big club.

Clueless idiots.

Moyes won't go, doesn't make sense

Mark Hughes may be one they'd go for though - He might fancy a bigger club while he's waiting for Taggart to keel over?

Newcastle is almost an impossible job - they expectations are far too high, I mean who are they - I'm 36 and I can't remember them winning anything?

True mate but they dont define success by winning trophies up there.

Being successful means buying the most replica tops, taking the aforementioned top off in the middle of winter for the benefit of the Sky cameras, taking your shoes off and being big obese biffs with [Poor language removed] tattoos.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has rubbished rumours linking David Moyes with the vacant manager's job at Newcastle.
Reports emanating from Tyneside have suggested that Moyes is on Newcastle's list of targets to replace Sam Allardyce.
Kenwright has spoken to Magpies owner Mike Ashley and the St James' Park supremo has assured him he has no plans to make a move for Moyes.
"How did David Moyes get linked with this job?
"I have started getting emails and texts and phone calls about this very thing and I wonder where it has all come from," Kenwright told Sky Sports News.
"I spoke to my good friend Philip Green earlier today and he was having dinner with Mike Ashley.
"Mike came on the phone and I said: 'Listen, do you know there's rumours sweeping round Newcastle and Liverpool that you are after David?
"He said: 'Listen Bill even if David was the greatest manager in the world - and I know you think he is - there's no way on God's earth we would ever do that kind of thing to Everton'.
"He [Ashley] is my friend and we are close.
"There is no truth in it whatsoever, not even a word of truth so you can put that one to bed."

Fernandes

Kenwright also revealed that Everton were close to sealing a deal to bring Manuel Fernandes back to the club.
Fernandes snubbed Everton for Valencia last summer after a successful spell on loan at Goodison Park.
The Portuguese international has dropped out of favour at Valencia and Everton have moved to bring Fernandes back on loan.
Kenwright admitted a deal was close and that the player was due to undergo a medical.
"I think he will be a good signing and we are very pleased to get him back as he was very much part of the Everton family," added Kenwright.
"He phoned David Moyes on the weekend and said he can't wait to get back.
"It is a good loan signing for us.

they take pidgeon [Poor language removed] if they could...when people mention we would never ever do that to everton, it kind of makes you think they would try..they said the same [Poor language removed] about big dunc and look what happened..he ended going up there and he hated it...i dont think the dunc was ever the same when he came back, more injury prone than ever lol...they always seem to injure there players too 0.o

EDIT "I think he will be a good signing and we are very pleased to get him back as he was very much part of the Everton family," added Kenwright.
"He phoned David Moyes on the weekend and said he can't wait to get back.
Billy wrong bollocks at it again as usual..to me he is such a slimey [Poor language removed] as it is. And this when moyes said manny who is coming back? first I have heard of it...whats with the kenwright bs? he seems like a self contrived compulsive liar
