Yeah I hate them, but have gone to a few down the years sometimes just to visit a ground not been to before or to see a new player. First I ever went to was at Wigan's old ground, we had just signed Lineker, loads went just to see him really, was a testimonal for Brian Hamilton.
They can be a bit of a pain, such as Tranmere taking it too serious and us picking up injuries from OTT tackles from them, or the one at Blackburn when Gravesen flew in and got a red card missing the opening of the season, that was ridiculous.
