Republican puppet masters trying to take Trump down by getting Palin to endorse him. That c-hook is like a kiss of death for anyone wanting to be popular outside of the white trash, wife beater vote
Those white trash wife beaters were what made the Democrats.

Chuck Todd saying that if Bernie beast Hillary in Iowa/New Hampshire, look for Bloomberg to enter the race. Anyone think we'll actually see late entrants in the race from either party?

Bernie could do well early on but his vote share among minorities is poor. When the the diverse states come up he's going to struggle big time. EG Look how far behind he is in California.

So here in Texas, Trump definitely has the stronger following.
My 2 cents on it all is that Texans are fed up of the status quo, they want a change, they also want someone who's going to stand up for the country and 'make America great again' - I tell my fellow colleagues all the time, there isn't a candidate running who can make America great again (this does not go down too well I can tell ya). However, the facts are the Texan population doesn't like Obama. They don't like paying taxes or rather, they don't like having their taxes reallocated to poorer folk - they do like to give (most generously) but they don't like the government telling them to give, they like to give of their own free will. They're not happy with immigration or rather lack of control over immigration. They don't like Obamacare. They don't like the thought of a nationalized health service. They don't like anyone (even jokingly) threaten to take away their guns.
At first I laughed at Trump, but now we've gotten this far, no-one can suggest he's not a candidate. He's definitely in it for the duration.
I would imagine that economically, he'd actually do fairly well. I'm not sure his foreign policy is all that though.

The man will be your next President without a doubt.........

No chance, his rather outspoken comments may win him the Republican nomination but it does him no favours for the General.

It's widely accepted to stand any chance of winning a Republican will need at least 40% of the Hispanic vote in swing states, Trump has done all he can to alienate these voters. Three crucial swing states in particular (Colorado, Florida, Nevada) have large Hispanic populations.

Had a punt today on Rubio to win the nomination at 6/1. After this weekend I think the establishment will rally around 1 person, Rubio is best placed to be that figure. Polling suggests should Carson / Bush pull out Rubio will benefit big time. He seems a distant 3rd at the moment but it's still very early days.

On the Democrat side Clinton looks to have it in the bag. Barring further revelations regarding the ongoing email saga she should win comfortably. Iowa and New Hampshire could well go with Sanders but don't get too carried away.

Bloomberg's getting positioned in case Hillary gets waylaid by the charges coming out of the current FBI probe(s). If the DoJ stonewalls Comey and refuses to indict, the word is that the rotating blades will be striking the manure in a Watergate era kind of way, though Obama will be above this particular fray. The political price for that kind of treatment can only be repaid to Obama if HRC wins, and the chances of that diminish by the week. She's just not a very compelling candidate, tbh. The guy with the funny hair is sucking all of the air out of the room, and that's not exactly a bad thing for Hillary. The less attention, the better.

Bloomberg's making his plans and probably has already been contacted by TPTB (especially since he's one of them).

(adjusts tinfoil on colander, waits for further communications)

I'll see Republican leaders finally bended to back Trump. He's already rattled that whole party up. Trump has a hint on anarchy innit. Love it.

interesting quote from alex salmond on that trump doc -

what would you do if trump became president?

salmond -'i'd book tickets to antarctica as thats the last place nuclear fallout will get to ' (something like that)

truly scary prospect if he got in
