Wanted a poll, and cant run a poll in Announcement/Support forum, so will ask here.

How many posts per page do you think there should be on GOT?

So, how many posts until you have to click next.

We have 15.

The default for forum software is 20.

Just looking at other football forums, and some have 40.

The live aspect of the game threads means the software can't cope anyway. This isn't a criticism or a snide remark, the traffic volume simply means reloading the page and suddenly there's 5 pages to catch up on. Suppose it's a good sign of demand and inter activity.

Dont see the correlation mate?

If when we're busy, like match day, a refresh and there's 5 pages to catch up on - that could support a view to increase posts per page so there's less pages?

The busiest forums, so like Man Utd's Redcafe have 40 posts per page which could be a reason.

40.

Just because of this really...

🤷‍♂️

Keep it low for load-in.
Also less stress on updating new posts with shorter pages.

Also does that include adverts? They just the page around enough loading in. Twice the number from longer pages would make jumping to notified post utterly random.

20 tops.

The more posts per page, the less ads as they're every x amount of posts, but capped so isnt too many on a page.

I've always thought 15 is fine, but wondering if 20 would be a better mix.

An example of 40 is here;

That's horrible. Would we have to talk absolute drivel like the gooners to fill a page?
