Just got a text and they have been promoted another 2 divisions, they (the league) wanted 3 but said it would step on too many toes. So well just have to go out and beat them instead then and they'll wish we had gone up an extra one.
We played the team that are 4th in this division in our 2nd game and beat them 8-1 away, so although we aren't expecting it to be like it has been so far we are confident of being up there come the end of the season. Of course we could end up playing 3 and going up again if we rack some up again.

Gutted we don't get to go to Tiki Taka though, the lads wanted to ram their motto right up 'em.

Good stuff Reidy - the kids will be thrilled!

Played agame on Wednesday, against my younger brothers team and they did us 5-1. Was a cup game though, so it's fine we can now just concentrate on staying up...

Excellent stuff Reidy!

I played this morning but suffered from the same injury I got in March when I broke 2 metatarsals and toes - managed to break my big toe again so it now needs a new screw putting into it on Tuesday.

That's me out until well into the new year - old bones take longer to heel :(

Had a second screw put in my big toe today - no impact sports for 6 weeks minimum more likely 8-10 weeks!

1st Game in the new Division for them today, regular keeper away in Salou and our 'Messi/Cruyff' not there. Anyways, stand in keeper playing well and we are 7-1 up at halftime, then a lad who never turns up ( and has certainly been no part of their victories so far) says he'll go in goal, he was ok'ish in training so they put him in, he let one in 7-2 then passed a goal kick to their centre forward who was deadcentre on the edge of the box 7-3, let a ball go past in a not arsed way 7-4, then repeated his goa;kick whilst being told not to do it again, he looked and gave an I'll decide what I do look then did exactly that 7-5, was then dragged off with them on the ascendency and they got another.
In the end we were clinging on a bit to win 7-6.

They may all only be 9 & 10 but they were all fumin' as he couldn't be arsed watching and went off to sit in the car, they see it as he hasn't done anything to warrant getting on the pitch and tbh won't be shy of letting him know at training either. He's the one always having to do a lap and arsing about as well. They seem to think he let a couple in on purpose (they weren't having a go at him on the pitch btw) as he doesn't care if they win or lose.

It's very harsh this u10's footy.
Hope the little **** doesn't come near the place again myself.

Personally I see no reason why u-10's football shouldn't be competitive, there are valuable life lessons to be learned on the pitch, even at that age. I think as long as it is fair and the children are taught to respect their opponents and officials, and not behave like the professionals on the tv, there should be no holds barred.

There never was for us in school, BB and Sunday League football, it didn't do us any harm...

Good result for your guys in the end!

It's all this 'inclusion' business, as in teams form and supposedly don't kick anyone out cos a better kid arrives, our club had a team already and it was only cos others arrived that this one formed. This kid was at the other club we used to go to amnd was useless and a pain, he arrived here a week before we had enough lads and a coach, he hasn't put any effort in so far, not been part of their success and they don't want him around, he nearly cost them the game today and clearly didn't give a stuff. He couldn't compete in the other game he turned up for against much lower opposition so he's no chance now, only coming to 2 out of 12 should mean "sorry but you can't just come and expect to play" the coach was well brassed off with him when he walked off.

Played 5 a side yesterday won 13-4, won all 6 games comfortably so far, reckon a game with grandoldteam should happen soon be a decent run out for both sets of lads?

Oh yeah kicked a lad with the ratboys name on the back every chance i got (y)

Dont know if you've heard but we're kinda a big deal now that we won a game, wouldn't wanna smash you and destory your confidence!

Gonna be a BOG in the morning, we've had to switch from the good pitch to avoid wrecking it (someone allows us to use it F.O.C.), and play on one that is wrecked already that the council are responsible for, the grass will be too long and it will be boggy as, hope we remember the scoops for the goalmouth.

Be a great chance for us to play such a fantastic team then won't it, plus it will build your confidence for playing the arl fellas, or are you all too scared???
