I'm getting really annoyed now, been playing 5 a side once a week for 3 years and i'm not a prolific goalscorer but always score a few, some gooduns but i really want to score a cracking right foot volley.

Most of the time i miss the ball completly or slice it but there must be half a dozen times when i've connected perfectly but its either hit the bar/post or the keeper pulls off a brillaint save.

I just wanna score one peach of a volley :(

Played 5-a-side.

We won.

Was a fun day, we had a pitch booked from 6:30 to 7:30, and played until 8:45. Guy comes in at about 8:30 asks us how much time we've been playing (as it's paid by the hour) and they have the lights running only for us there - "40-45 minutes mate", "oh okay, just finish up and come to pay me". Lolz.

Played away to the 2nd place team this morning, they had p 3 w 3, now reading p 4 w3 l 1, we have gone above them into 2nd now as we have the same points and a game in hand.

We beat them 8-0, every player apart from the goalie scored and I'm not sure if they even had a shot. They had a cracking full back, in the Rugby League sense, who could do a great arms around then slide down the legs tackle, the lad on the wing was skinning him every time so he just stopped going for the ball and just going for him after about the 3rd time.
The team that are currently top are used to getting their own way and sensing that they won't this season, so the league are talking about promoting us again, and this was before today, our coach doesn't think it fair to make thelads start from scratch for a 3rd time though but we'll see, up 3 divs and we should take it as we have already showed we can beat those as well.
My lad wasn't even there this morning but I still went along as they are great to watch..... Onward & Upwards.

so far this season, scored 71 conceded 10.

Made my debut for Riley's in Lincoln today. Played the full game left mid, we won 3-2 and I scored the third. Absolute peach of a volley from outside the box. Think I've pulled my hamstring though.

Joined my first competitive league in about 8 years. Needed to make sure I had recovered fully from my ACL tear last year. Played the #1 team in the division on Sunday in piss rain at our field. It was 0-0, but we were pressing them hard in the last 6-7 min of the game. We got about 5 corners with the final one in the 90th minute. I was playing mid, and had been marked by the same guy on each previous corner when I had made near-post runs. I switched it up and went far post this time when my mark went near post, so I watched the ball sail right to me and planted my mush on it to score one of the easiest I've ever had. 30 seconds later ref blew for full time. 1-0 to the good guys.

I swear to God I thought I was going to bloop it over the bar from about 2 yards out. I'm 5' 6" and don't score many headers.

Lads team continued the march this morning with a 14-0 win, only 1 game behind now should hit top spot next week.

Goals for 88, goals against 10.

We play someone called Tika Taka Academy next week and have every intention of passing the 100 mark, it's quite possible that we could score 22 and have a +100 goal difference as well.

Excellent stuff Reidy!

I played this morning but suffered from the same injury I got in March when I broke 2 metatarsals and toes - managed to break my big toe again so it now needs a new screw putting into it on Tuesday.

That's me out until well into the new year - old bones take longer to heel :(

ps - co-incidentally I had my first injury in March on the day we played QPR last season. So I'll be going to 2 successive games at Loftus Road in different seasons with two toe/metatarsal injuries - a bizarre coincidence...
