Next Wednesday sees me return to action after a few injuries, and a lot of lazyness, as I have joined my mates team.

Can't wait, although I know it will hurt a lot the next day.

Played keeper Sunday - 0-0 draw. Arguably little to do with me as I was fairly bored in the back.

3-0 win Monday night. First half in goal, second half at CM - pulled an assist off a corner thanks to an ace header.

Won every game in the league stage of the Summer 6-a-side tournament, got a bye week next week (playing a friendly) then semi finals of the playoffs the week after. Won something to nil last night, I'm not good at paying attention to the score. I know I scored two and that's all that's important

There's a Jamaican 11-a-side tourney in Chicago that I kinda agreed to play in on Sunday. Looking to make an excuse to bow out as I'm afraid of being snapped as there'll be a couple of hours drinking going on between out first and second games.

What's it like?!

Been playing Mon&Tues nights for the last few nights. Mon nights is a league, we get battered every week (lost 8-2 this week), we're called Hardly Athletic for a reason. Tues nights was just a friendly kick about, but ppl back to pre-season training now so that's finished. Need to sort myself a team for this season, it'll be the first time in years I've been able to play.

3G pitches are ace btw, so much better than any other astro I've played on. Almost better than grass even, as it doesn't wear out. Obv can't really do sliding tackles tho, and you end up with loads of little black balls in your trainers...

My bedroom floor gets covered in the bloody things when they fall out of my boots after i take them off!

But yeah, 3g pitches are lush, i play on one every Wednesday night in a semi serious game with mates. Been on a bit of a losing streak lately and only won twice in 2 months but won last week so hopefully my luck has changed.

I even scored 2 own goals in 2 weeks whilst playing in goal
