Stay!

You wanna know why?

Good because I will tell u.

Look at his first season, Amazing.
His Second Season, Awful.
Third Season, Meh.

He needs more time, I cant remember and doubt I was born like but didn't moyes have a poor start and we gave him time.

If this take over happens he has more money to improve his squad.

It's all about how much time we give him. I hope he stays for ages.

But if he does stay he is gonna have to start winning games, cups and Top 4 position.
Arguably his first season was reliant on a Moyes-style defense gelling with a Martinez style attack and so that won't be achieved again.

It's certainly not a good situation to be in when fan favourites like timmy cahill are tweeting their displeasure. Today cannot happen. It's not even any good saying it cant happen again because the damage is done and it should never be happening at goodison in the first place.

Do any teams fear goodison? I doubt it. Its unaccpetable

Difficult financial budget but the bottom half of the league was much less competitive than it is now, look at who palace and west Brom had in their sides 10 years ago!!

Not to undermine moyes, who I really rate, but the Pl has changed so much in even the last 5 years

Moyes budget was probably lower than the bottom half teams you speak of. Everton actually have a transfer budget these days, a budget that is by no means dwarfed by that of Leicester or Palace etc. The disparity between transfer budgets has decreased not increased.

For me generally mid season sacking doesn't work

A manager is only as strong as the Institution behind him. The financial structure, operations, personnel back and 'culture' of a club

Sacking martinez might bring an upturn in results but equally it would strip away the foundations he laid in place and possibly cause further turmoil

He has major flaws he needs to sort out that may well be his undoing. However unless we were literally in the relegation zone mid march I don't think it's the correct option but to wait to the end of the season

One thing I would say is that the board thinks we can run financially like we have for the last 10 years, but the massively increased cash flow in the league needs to put paid to that. Teams years ago that were below us are going to blow right past unews we step up to the plate

According to soccernomics over moyes' reign our wage spending was 9th highest in the league

Palace and Leicester have billionaire backers and can pay very high wages. 9mn for connor Wickham!! That's because of the tv money

The same TV money that gives Everton an actual transfer budget. Martinez is operating on a far more level playing field than Moyes ever was.

Bad defensively we may be but.... with correct refereeing we would have won 4-2

Here's how:

Goal 3: Walters came back from an offside position and challenges Howard before the ball is slammed in - that's clearly active - disallowed goal
Goal 4: We don't really need to discuss this again do we?

Penalty to Everton: Well more of a shout than their penalty.

Correct.

Well, we would have drawn 3-3 for sure.

But that was not a penalty and the foul on Seamus was.....we convert that and we win 4-3.

There are too many apologists for Clattenburg here today.......his bias against Everton seems to suit an agenda,j

Gone if he keeps playing Kone just to justify why he bought him get over that one Roberto the lad is a Dud
Gone if he keeps playing Howard because he has no balls to drop a senior professional better goalkeepers than Howard have been dropped it wont harm him
Really tempted to say sack him and give Big dunc a go but that probably wouldn't end well throttling underachieving players is not good man management anymore
Roberto seems like a intelligent chap and knows this is not good enough hopefully he will address the problems sooner rather than later
Let him see his contract out

Losing patience very quickly.
It's so frustrating because we've got some fantastic players there and attacking wise it's great to watch but I genuinely feel like we are going to concede every time a team attacks us and that is down to Martinez continuing with that flappy yank Howard. Defence has really got to be the priority here, he needs to sort it because I feel if we persist with Howard we are just going to languish in mid table or even worse if we get an injury to Lukaku.

At no point should it be acceptable to concede 3 goals at home to Stoke and blame the ref for the 4th like that's the main issue.

The issue is an away team coming to goodison and slotting 4 goals, a week after conceding 3 at home as well

Not just based on the game today, but over the past 18 months.

The issues we have aren't being addressed.

Do we stick or twist?

I'm trying to be as unbiased as possible.

The football for the majority going forward is lovely, he's bought in some real stars. On the flip side, he's shown he can't organise a defence or has the bottle to get some one to help him do so. He's not strong enough to make much needed changes i.e Howard, and sticks with his people like Kone.

There's no unsures or cheese or toasts etc. Just yes or no.
Martinez on Tim Howard: “At the moment there is a bigger picture, nobody has got their position safe.

he's lying :(

No.

Here is the issue.

We were robbed of at least one point today by a bad call by a referee in the last minute.

Furthermore we were robbed of the chance to Have added another goal of our own when a blatant foul on Seamus Coleman in their penalty box went unpunished.

The fume here today should be about atrocious referring by a man who has displayed bias against EFC in the past.

That is what would be happening on the message forums of other clubs......the manager would not be the subject of their ire.

But not here.

On here we have a group of people who would rather blame the manager whose team once again put on a splendid display of attacking football, the likes of which we haven't seen at Goodison Park in decades.

And gloss over the fact that we were robbed by the referee.
