Positives

Plus - Robles (after an initial wobble) Garbutt (hope he signs!) Stones (make him captain!) Gibson (up to press) Lukaku (best striker since Cottee)
Ledson/Dowell/Galloway/Browning/Long (all look good for the future)
Minus - Howard (strangely shocking) Alcaraz (must go asap!) Distin (time to go milkman) Barry (needs to be 3rd choice DM) Atsu (wish we had got Salah instead!) McGeady (too unpredictable) Mirallas (believing his own hype) Pienaar (for not getting fit)
In conclusion - more bad than good so Martinez and the board need to get things right in the summer and shuffle the pack accordingly.

Positives:
Can't be nearly as disappointed by the 15/16 campaign
Makes my terrible FIFA campaigns feel much less disappointing
Didn't (yet) lose my Eto'o/Balotelli bet with a friend

Garbutt is the big one.

Other players have bene better but we already knew that lukaku was a boss slotter and that stones was the next beckenbauer, etc. Garbutt coming through was a lovely surprise.

And europe was great.

More negatives than positives obviously and a lot of work to do. But we have the same people who we had last year when it went really well so we'll see.

There's no reason why next year can't be a great year.

So you have no problem with getting knocked out of cups by Swansea City and West Ham United?

Is this now the Oatcake? Have we suddenly become Stoke?

It would have been difficult to progress in the Europa League and the League Cup, so I wasn't sorry to lose at Swansea.

And I've no problem with the way we played when we lost at West Ham. In fact, I think it was probably our best performance of the season.

I notice your overlooking the home game versus West Ham.

I guess we have different goals, you want to see good performances and I want to see us winning games.

I want to see us win trophies and you want to see us win plaudits for playing well with 10men.

Takes all sorts suppose.

We didn't win the league cup and we also didn't win the europa league.

It's difficult to argue it was a brilliant call.

I mean our progress was to the last 16, we didn't even reach the quarter finals. After beating Kiev at home, we were 6 games away from a trophy.

Before we even played a game in the league cup we were 6 games from a trophy.

So well done there. We got as close to winning the europa as we did a trophy you argued yourself that we never tried to win.

6 more league wins and Everton is pushing 5th

Turns out Everton is 6 wins from everywhere

Indeed.

I do enjoy seeing good performances.

You take great delight in seeing bad ones.
