If we'd drawn at City and won at Wolves, we'd have taken that beforehand.

Our third clean sheet in a row is further proof that we're getting our act together defensively.

We created a glut of chances today without the injured Arteta.

Villa's mauling at the hands of Chelsea brings their goal difference within range, should Europa League qualification come down to that.

Birmingham and Fulham were unable to draw any closer to us.

In the post match interview with Mick McCarthy he hailed his teams performance in holding 'top four' Everton to a draw
"Terrific point. Hard-earned and I think we were playing against one of the best teams that's played down here, they are as good as anybody,"
OK, he’s a tosser but you were looking for positives....

Spurs and Liverpool couldn't score there. United and Villa could both only find one goal. We underestimated them if we thought it was going to be easy.

We played as well today for an hour as we did at City and produced 11 shots on target. As the game wore on we started to drop deep to ensure that we didn't concede. If we had more pace on the breakaway we could have nicked it.

West Ham at home next! Now that is a game where I'm expecting us to fill our boots. :D

Villa are away at Bolton and Liverpool are away at Brum. They'd both do very well to pick up more than a point each on their travels. That would give us the opportunity to leapfrog them.

I expect, as bad as they were beaten today, for Villa to take full points against Bolton.

You'd think so eh?

Interesting comment from John 'lock up your wives' Terry, when he said that Villa just turn into a tired side after 60 minutes. I'd say Bolton could capitalise on that.
