The first few games where we were actually showing up despite all the gloom of pre-season. A glimpse of hope for the fact Benitez might not be a total disaster. There was like two weeks there when we worshipped Townsend. Fun stuff.

I thought we were excellent in the second half away at Brighton. Apart from that and signing Gray, not much else.

Benitez getting sacked. Didn’t realise how fed up and annoyed with Everton I was. When I heard the news he had gone it was like a dark cloud lifted

First few games I though Benitez might be ok, so was relaxed, it went downhill really rapidly !
