Got this today.
Just like most nerds in my age group, I was a big fan of the first.
Wow, is all I can say. The single player is hilarious (casting Stephen Merchant as "Wheatley" was an inspired decision), and the puzzles are mind boggling. But it just works. It's the perfect blend of simplicity and difficulty.
The co-op is where it's at, however. I played a few hours with a mate, and I've never played a game as teamwork-centric as this. Warning though, you need to play with someone you know, and someone who has a mic. Communication is everything. It's fantastic fun though, working it out together. Some of the puzzles in co-op require some outlandish thinking and ridiculous chain events which when they come together, will blow your mind. Valve have outdone themselves here.
10 companion cubes out of 10.
