The board will learn nothing from the Martinez era, and will wait until we are out the cups before they will get rid. We have Arsenal and Chelsea which are both expected losses in their eyes anyway, Iam not sure where they rate Lyon.

For me, Loew is the best option, but he's not going to give up a crack at defending the World Cup, and the German FA aren't going to let him manage everton in the interim whilst there's a World Cup to win

To me, the best option is to give Unsworth responsibility for the day to day running of the club for the rest of the season and have him report back to Loew, who can manage Germany till after the World Cup but already be preparing things for 18/19 season

Get everything arranged nice and early

Reassure Unsworth that he will be part of things going forward, get a financial package with both Loew and the German association agreed and communicate it all to everyone

Act early and act decisively
Is Joe Royle still around the club, I think I'm right he helped Unsworth in his one game as caretaker, I reckon he would be up for helping him again. He has the experience.

I personally persisted with Martinez for longer, but after today, I'm not sure I can make a good enough defence of Koeman to stay for the reasons already given above.

How on earth have we ended up back here though, after all the optimism of the early summer? Ffs Everton.

Martinez had better players and was dire and kept saying `phenonemal` ..... Koeman has had his best players sold on at profit and replaced with a
pile of poop .......

Absolutely it is, whilst the season is still rescuable for his replacement. In 3 weeks we may just have the FA Cup to play for, please dont let that happen Farhad.

Best thing for all parties is for him to show interest in the Dutch national job. It's only October but there are no signs whatsoever of improvement and the same turgid approach regardless of who we are playing, that is a dangerous mix.
I couldn't even guess wether the senior players have given up, how could you tell? But the team is screaming out for some youthful energy and it isn't like we haven't got younger options. Davies, Lookman, Kenny, would all shift a bit more.
The derby is looming in the distance and ffs we can't go into that game in the mindset we have now.

I was working today so couldn't watch it listen to the match bit managed to get on here for updates and my heart just sunk with some of the comments about how piss poor we were again and same issues and sake players playing poorly

I just don't see him turning this around and I'd like us to try and stay in some cups before the end of October if that's okay with him, so for me personally he should be punted asap
