Another headline to damage the reputation of this city.

First of all nobody assaulted a police officer, they assaulted a man who happens to work as a police officer. When it is worded the way the headline suggests i had a vision of a young guy assaulting a officer for being one.

Cue all the fury that a man of the law has been killed, makes a change from the USA were people are being shot on a daily basis.
How anybody can want to fight on a night out i dont know.

.

To be totally fair we have no idea either way do we ? Whether it was a random or targeted assault is a matter for the courts and those investigating to discover but at this minute I'd imagine we couldn't dismiss either scenario out of hand .

True mate, i think if they catch the man responsible then i have a feeling they will punish him for killing one of their own, the media will be all over it too.

I think the headline would be the same where ever this had happened.

If somebody has a job that makes it's 'newsworthy' it makes news , if he was a 'war veteran' or something that piqued public interest then It generates more 'clicks' . It's the nature of the beast I suppose, look at the cases of missing or murdered children and certain cases as deemed more 'newsworthy' . The timing would play to the reporting of this as well you'd think .

Cases like this can range in huge severity from one punch manslaughter to brutal murder . We'll have to wait and see where this one falls whoever whatever the circumstances it's certainly very sad.

Crazy world we live in nowadays, when going on a night out you shouldn't have to worry about being caught up in a fight and risk being killed.
