Points from Old Trafford

At any rate, I agree with the gist of the original post. But it only highlights all the dropped points against Wigan, QPR, Reading etc.

Quite. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. Had we sat back and looked to sneak a goal there would be folks having a go for being negative.

For quite some time that was our approach against the big teams under Moyes, but the last few seasons that's changed and we're competing on a more level footing.

We didn't get a result on Sunday, and given their record at home that's far from a disgrace, but lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater here. There's a tremendous amount of knee jerking going on whenever we lose a game, or even when we win a game in an unconvincing way.

See your point and a loss at OT is not the end of the world. I think (like me) we have seen a significant drop in form and so many players below par meaning that the prospects of 4th look so remote and we look like we will be clinging on for dear life to finish 6th. No real dealings in the transfer window has helped the fans feelings. We just never seem to push on when in a good position to. Lots of negativity about because we look a shadow of the team we were earlier in the season.

Exactly, we went there yesterday & had a go, they were better than us, we lost.

Our results away at Anfield, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Highbury/The Emirates since Moyes took charge.

Played: 48.
Won: 1 (F.A Cup against Chelsea...before being knocked out at home by Reading).
Drawn: 17.
Lost: 30.

Now, i'm not saying I expect us to roll up at these places and snot them all over the show, but for a team trying to attain Champions League or even Europa League status this statistic needs looking at, it's absolutely appalling and the list of teams that have left these places with results will no doubt be a sickener.

Villa getting 3 at Anfield and Swansea getting 0-2's at Stamford Bridge and The Emirates this season alone shows you that we should be doing better.
It's stats like this that make me laugh at the suggestion that teams like Man U or Chelsea would ever consider Moyes

It's not necessarily the lack of points taken, it's the fact that we roll over like a poncy little dog and seemingly enjoy having our furry if slightly bloated belly getting tickled until we fall asleep.

what a load of ****e this is, we made 2 errors and was punished for it.

I notice teams like Middlesborough and Blackburn are no longer in the Premier League but we're still challenging for Europe.
