Bonkers isnt it. Our profit, figures/wages in the next year or so will be pretty decent. Our income in the coming years will be sustainable. Our new stadium will be a shining light for the PL. Yet, they may effectively kill us off by punishing us with points, for their desperate political statement.

Yeah won’t change anything. Unless they came to an agreement that no more charges will be heard to ensure people voted for it.

Because there are several clubs rumoured to be on the edge of breaching for this year so the current rules would still stand up until July 1st.

Why are financial rules nessasory at all? Bin the rules and let teams have at it.. if they go out of busness then so be it.

For clubs like us, almost certainly not necessary. We blew our incumbency advantage right at the start.

For clubs like United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs, who have built up a huge incumbency advantage, the rules are everything. They are the only things separating them from Saudi Arabia's Newcastle United and other state actors devouring the pie that they feel entitled to.

Had they foreseen the danger of Abramovich, these rules would have been in 30 years ago.

Interesting point. Could see the clubs at danger this season pushing for an amnesty to support the upcoming measures if there’s enough of them. But would / could they expand that to include the 22/23 charges?

There’s also a question of whether we do want the 22/23 charges to go away. IF we lose two, Forest lose six and Leicester start next season with a deduction that’s positive for us.

Yeah we PROBABLY want 23/24 decided under the existing rules, although the asterisk is only the club knows our own PSR position for this season.

We’ve not had our hearing yet so nothing imminent. Forest I think had theirs last week but it’s all so secretive who knows? Will almost certainly know Forest first though.
