6 + 2 Point Deductions

What does that mean for the second hearing? Going off the same timescales it would be due to conclude in July. Next season’s fixtures come out in June. It’s completely implausible.

Second hearing has begun and, as per the guidelines, has to be heard and decided on by the final game of the season

Clearly, Everton's hope is the first one gets repealed enough that the second hearing doesn't matter - because of the overlap in the two. If that pans out like, we'll see.

The fast tracked system is a complete farce. Points won on the field matter far less than off the field hearings. This is the premier league in 2024 - not a credible sports competition.

The last few weeks of the relegation battle could end up being a complete nonsense

But then Forest will still have to go through the same appeal process as we’ve just gone through, so if we’re going off the same timescales, we still won’t know where they’ve finished until July at the earliest. What a complete pig’s ear of a season.

The fast tracked system is a complete farce. Absolutely ruined the credibility of this year's league table. Points won on the field matter far less than off the field hearings. This is the premier league in 2024 - not a credible sports competition.

The only way to square that circle is if the delay we're currently experiencing is caused entirely by the Premier League creating a watertight precedent - so that the outstanding charges for us and Forest can be processed in a much tighter timeframe without any legal jeopardy for the league.

Nothing about the way they've handled this process so far suggests they are capable of doing that.

This is an unfolding, and continuing disaster.
