If Chiriches does go it will be a significant departure for other reasons. Étienne Capoue and Paulinho have already left White Hart Lane. Roberto Soldado is “available”. By the end of the summer we could have reached a tipping point in the dissolution of the Magnificent Seven, that odd-job of players signed in a hurry in the summer of 2013 from the proceeds of Gareth Bale’s sale to Real Madrid.

It must be said the failure of the Sons Of Bale isn’t quite as clearcut as is often suggested. That summer Spurs also sold four other first-team players, who between them pretty much covered the incoming Capoue, Paulinho, Chiriches and Nacer Chadli. For the Bale money Christian Eriksen has been a lovely, gossamer, wispy little No10, both oddly peripheral and oddly incisive at the same time. Beyond that there have been two expensive failures in Iberian goal-disaster Soldado and the meandering semi-brilliance of Érik Lamela.
Read this today LL. Its a good article tbf..btw r you just quoting twitter n stuff these days lol?

Ha, not much actual football to discuss at the moment and I stay well clear of the Everton board or new stadium threads!
Understandable luv..bleeding loads of people trying to sell our players in that section! A few of us are trying to keep our players though. The sellers and the keepers. I can't wait till the transfer window closes and we still have all our players and hopefully one or two more.

We're having a party when Ade is sold
Jelly and ice cream when Ade is sold
Pass the parcel when Ade is sold
Bouncy castle when Ade is sold
Musical chairs when Ade is sold
Tail on the donkey when Ade is sold

You catch my drift.

Mauricio Pochettino has described Dele Alli as “a little bit naughty” and says he treats the Tottenham midfielder like a son after the teenager intentionally threw the ball into the face of Patrick van Aanholt during his side’s comfortable 4-1 victory over Sunderland.
...
“I didn’t see it, this is the truth,” said Pochettino of the ball-in-the-face incident. “He’s very young, he needs to learn a lot. It’s a little bit naughty; he’s a little bit naughty. I like how he is because you need to be a little bit naughty when you play football. It is true that he needs to learn.

“He’s young and we need to accept that he needs to learn in a professional side. He’s come from MK Dons. He played in League One last season but his character is his character. I will show and explain that it is better if he reacted a different way. First, I need to see the incident because I did not see it.

“He is how he is. Sometimes you need to be hard with him, sometimes you need to be friendly and give love. It’s like your son. Sometimes you need to give love, sometimes you need to be hard with him.”

Big fan of Poch. Not that I want him to go there but I think he's just the sort of manager Chelsea should be looking at. He'll be a top manager I think.

He seems to have the most well rounded style of all the managers. At first I thought maybe his lack of English would make it difficult for him, but he's slowly getting round that problem now. He's good with both the old and new players, he turfed all the players that didn't suit, he hasn't spent crazy amounts of money this off season so he's not the type that buys players only to find out they didn't work. His teams work really hard, they defend pretty well but also good on the counter and keep the ball well. He's not an asshole to the media and if he does have an ego, he generally keeps it under wraps during interviews. And last but not least, all the players seem to play for him this season.
