Hi guys,

Argyle fan here in peace.

As you may know, our club is still in administration as the season starts. The administrator picked his preferred bidder many weeks ago but as yet that bidder has not completed the deal, as deadlines have apparently repeatedly been extended. The bidder remains anonymous, but seeks to take ownership of the ground for development purposes while selling the club to Peter Ridsdale for £1.

Peter Reid has been amazing throughout this nightmare, never making excuses, always backing the staff and fans 100%. He, and most of the staff have seen very little wages for several months, having just agreed to yet another deferral. Fans have raised nearly £100K in donations, and Reid himself has paid some club bills, most famously the heating bills last winter. He's a legend already in Plymouth.

The real danger is that the administrator becomes liable for staff wages this week and that they will seek to liquidate the club to recoup their own costs rather than turn to an alternative buyer, James Brent, who is waiting in the wings, who has been talking positively to the Argyle Fans Trust, and who is seeking to negotiate the sale of the stadium to the Council on a community-based initiative.

Please consider signing our petition to the administrator to adopt the alternative bid. I can't post the link here as a new poster, but if you Google for 'dont-liquidate-pafc-pa' it's the top hit. Maybe a mod or a fan here can post the link in this thread for us?

Many thanks if you read this far, and good luck for your season kickoff tomorrow.

I will sign your petition be warned i have visited your fair city twice, once for our cup duel a few years ago and once to welcome home my navy chum who earned a medal sunbathing on deck for a couple of months. Both times i attended the Reflex 80's club as i do invariably every place i visit and both times i woke up after being defiled by overweight teens and paid extortionate cab fares to escape.
