Players whose careers "improved" after they left us

Rooney was a far more exciting player to watch while here. He may have won trophies but Ferguson coached the magic out of him in my opinion.

There is some truth in that, but if he had carried on playing at that tempo his whole career he would of worn his legs down to stumps by now.

Can't argue with his record, he's made the most out of his talent I think.

Wayne Rooney is obvious.
Depends on what you mean by success ? Lescott won titles at city but now plays for Villa. Drenthe is lying on a beach somewhere in Dubai getting a nice pay packet.

Richard Wright and Rodwell still make a couple of million in exchange for splinters in their rear end.

I would rather be a winner like rooney than a bit part player like Rodwell.

Lescott was pure mercenary, left us as a knob and fast became a rich knob with splinters in his arse from sitting on the City bench so often, absolutely wasted himself moving but at least we got top dollar for him.

Mcmahon unfortunately was a great midfielder left just at the wrong time for Everton success could have been a legend for us instead of u know what he was good when he was young but became a monster for them still don't know why we sold him
