PL round of fixtures abroad

Is this to do with that stupid 39th game idea?

simple solution grouch, why don't they just host a mini premier league cup in the off season abroad. I know they sort of do now anyway, but have the top 4 in a semi and final battle out and then most will be happy. It's absurd to try and disrupt the actual season. Like people have said, nobody abroad is interested in most of the teams in the prem, they'd only really want to see the more successful teams.

Just a stupid idea all around, can't imagine any of the teams wanting it ... until they go and say we'll pay you £10m and then they'll all accept it.

If this happens the game is truly gone and it'll be the point where I pack it in and go watch Bromley or something. No respect for football's history and roots from these vultures.

Just as a matter of related interest then:

IF at some point in the future Everton were invited to join a World Super League (with teams like River Plate, Real Madrid, Peking Ducks and New York Trumps) would you want them to join (for the exposure and exponential amounts of increased income) or to jib the idea off and remain in the Premier League playing English teams?

Jib it. Even though I live in Canada, I can still appreciate the efforts of Blues in the UK to travel to away games. We have one of the best in that regard and going to some global league would kill that. Not to mention the rivalry we have with other PL clubs (apart from the Crimson Crap).

I think it's a great idea. Not all of us live in England, this forum itself has a huge number of overseas blues who never have a chance to see their team play live.

Bring it on Scuda

Terrible idea, can't have a league where teams have more home games than others and teams play some teams three times and others twice.
If they want to play a (semi) meaningful game overseas rather than just friendlies maybe move the charity shield.
