Skynews are now saying that the Pienaar deal could be off as both clubs cant come to an agreement. QPR and Sunderland are considering putting in a bid for Pienaar now.

If we dont sign Piennar I will never support the club until the current board leaves. How long does it take to sign a player BK? We must have the worst board in the premier league !!!!!

Its not "skynews" its skysports.com with their "unamed source", and this was reported this afternoon.

I would like us to sign Pienaar as he will improve the team. But it wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't sign. The chances are that he is going to cost around £5 million and be on £75000 a week. For a player who will be 31 by the end of the season it wouldn't be too bad if the deal didn't go through as we could get a younger player with better re-sale value for the same price and wages.

I still would prefer if the deal did go through as there are very few players with as good creativity as Pienaar.

I totally agree with this. Playing devils advocat but if his legs go in a year or so, is it really worth spending the pittance we have on him? Hoilett was a better investment in my eyes.

Also the longer the whole saga drags on it just fuels my hatred for Spurs even more. Even with Hawwy gone they are probably the worst team to do business with in the world.

Also with him being past 30, if he gets one bad injury that keeps him out for most of the season then we have him as the clubs top earner and he may never recover his form again. I know its negative thinking but for a club like us to pay big money on fee and wages for a player in his 30's is normally not good business.

I don't know why people are hitting panic stations, THT and LCAB both seem quite chilled and confident of new signings, including Pienaar. THT also retweeted a story about Everton negotiating with the MLS to sign Donovan permanently which is quite interesting.

I'm still pretty confident he will sign, not even our incompetent board can **** this one up. Moyes wants him, fans want him, he wants us (all been stated in the media) The backlash would be monumental if we managed to let him slip away and I think kenwright knows this.

Why do people believe this shtie when it says we value Heitinga at £4.5m & Baines is off to United for £8m?!. Didnt any of you listen to Moyesy during Naismiths press conference?.

He said we dont sell cheap, it's expensive to buy off of Everton!.

That's because our only players worth buying are all first-team'ers. We are no different to any other side except for the fact we lack depth.
