Pienaar to return?

Rather not have him back on principal

And if it meant less game time for Rodwel, Barkley, Gueye then no.

Rather we have players already signed to the club or wanting to impress for the club playing than a stop gap of loans with players just looking for fitness

What and you believe Rodwell and Barkley are here for the long run, didn't you see the latest set of accounts???
Just to break even every year we've got to sell big name players or its further and further into debt we go , and that's just intrest payments , I think Rodwell will be gone in January myself , if not the summer 100%

i personally dont think rodwell will go unless we are foced to sell somehow. even tho we aint got that much money i dont think moyes will feel the need to sell to bring in, we have whatever pennys we have left from the arteta money, whatever pennys we get from the billy sale, we have don coming in for 10 weeks, drenthe, straccy sure they are not proven or world beaters i still think when given the chance both will please us fans and make us want to sign them on perms. no thanks pienuts u can carry on playin irish teams....

So that means we shouldn't play them over loan players who are only filling a stop gap?

Its not about loyalty etc, its about looking forward and giving lads experience who will be here longer than 5 months. So what if we sell Rodwell, well make a financial gain on that.

I just don't like the idea of bringing someone back because his big money move went tits up unless its beneficial long term ie option to buy, over kids that need game time.

There's zero loyalty in football fella , if Donavon was a permanent signing and Spurs came in for him offered him more money and the chance playing in the champions league , he'd also jump at the chance , as a fan the sooner you get your head around the loyalty thing it becomes easier to take when players leave for pasture's new, I know this was the case with me anyway

People seem to forget that these players are foreign too with zero allegiance to any of the towns the clubs represent...why should they show any kind of loyalty tbh unless they're from the area or support the team.

Personally I think we have missed this fella more than Teta

No way.

Whilst we haven't found a LM replacement as good as him, we've found better compromises than we have for Arteta. We lack guile in the centre desperately now, and even what he offered last season is being missed. We certainly haven't replaced what Arteta offered us in his pomp.

That said I'd welcome Pienaar back. I don't feel we're getting the most out of Baines without him, but even if he played centrally at least we'd have someone who could keep the ball and pass to a decent standard.

Mate your not listening to what I said , us as fans will not see any gain's whatsoever TO BREAK EVEN WE'LL NEED TO MAKE 15 MILLION A SEASON, the money will go straight to the banks tatty bye, looking at the last 2 years accounts after selling Arteta and Bellfield , bringing players like Pienarr who we know would fit straight back into our team's is Evertons only option , we can't afford to buy players ,certainly players as good as him, Barkley should be in the team anyway lar , but the mess where in unfortunately we can no longer pick and choose or be stubborn over what happened because staying in the Premier league is our major priority, and with the players we have where not good enough

I did understand you, but all I was saying just in principle I don't want him back as id rather have gueye etc play more which is more cost effective and better long term.

With Pienaar they'll be a signing on loan fee and someone to pay his 70k a week wages just so we can get is that 7th place trophy.

I know about the financial situation but there's more ways to operate and capable players out there who can help long term. If not we might as well do what Donny Rovers are doing.

The debate whether the squad is good enough is a different arguement altogether

Completely agree with this. Haven't replaced Arteta, but Drenthe could play LM. Also agree that I'm fine with getting Peanuts back.

I really can't see it. For one thing, isn't there a cap of 3 loan signings? That would be Straq, Drenthe and Donovan. Even if there isn't a cap, would Moyes take Pienaar back knowing that it would mean there wasn't room in the team for Drenthe? If it was a permanent signing, Spurs would probably want something like £6m for a player in their prime and at the start of a 4 year contract. Even if we could find the money, I think it would be highly unlikely that we'd spend it on someone who will be 30 in March. I'd rather see us invest in a player who will get on the end of the chances created by Drenthe and Donovan.

IMO Pieface treated our club with disrespect and toddled off to Tottyham thinkin he would play regular 1st team footie whilst bankin a bigger wage packet, so leave him there to rot!

Some people want him back, others don't. The fans would vent these feelings on match days and his game would suffer for it.

*and as for his "God is great" vest, FFS!!
