Dont think he's going anywhere soon mind
 
He will no doubt move on at some point, i doubt it will be for a few years though. Its rare that players sign the first contract offer anyway.
 


I think he had one of his best seasons he's had for many a years with us. Started out ropey after coming back from a broken toe, but the last few months of the season he and Baines were simply outstanding. Add the fact he was the best player in the Confederations Cup that had Kaka, Robiniho, Xavi, Alonso, Torres etc etc he's probably thinking its his 2nd chance to restart his career in sunny spain.
 
I'm probably his biggest fan, I'd be gutted to see him leave. Arguably one of the most creative midfielders in European football.

I think he's ambitious though, him staying will be down to how well we do in the next season or two. If we show some ambition he'll stay.
